7th Grade Update - Feb 8 - Feb 12

Hi,
***This week we keep working on the standards involving EARTH & LIFE HISTORY -- including parts of 8 and 9.

**NEXT WEEK is the FINAL ASSESSMENT for EARTH & LIFE HISTORY.

Talk to your child about this topic -- have them answer these questions for you:

What are slow/ gradual changes that affect the Earth? What are quick, catastrophic changes?
What is relative dating? absolute dating? GIve EXAMPLES.
Explain 3 things fossils can tell us about the past.

***Your child can continue to work on highlighting and coloring their KNOW BOOKS (mini journals) --

Please have them SHOW YOU THIS -- Does it look neat? Complete? Hold your child accountable for turning in their best work at school.

What is heat? Name the 3 types of heat transfer and give examples.
How are ocean currents formed?
How does heat from the sun cause weather?
